What is Dead Lizard?

Dead Lizard is a small company that makes and modifies audio effects and amplification for guitar and bass.  We aim to provide high end products off the shelf but will also undertake bespoke designs.

Who are Dead Lizard?

Dead Lizard was founded by two electronics engineers, Andy and Ed.  Andy is a guitarist with a love of valves and distortion.  Ed is a bass player with an unhealthy fixation for analogue synthesizers.

Dead Lizard, what’s with the name?

Back in the early days when the company was first being discussed over a pint down the local (well, ok it was more than one) Andy and Ed went on holiday with their girlfriends to the sunshine of Portugal.  One morning they went out to the swimming pool to discover a little lizard had met its end in the chlorinated depths.  After fishing the unfortunate bugger out of the pool and watching him being slowly consumed by insect life (over the top of several more beers) Andy and Ed felt that the little lizard should be honoured.  So Dead Lizard became the company name, even after they'd sobered up.  Here's the little guy:
